This past weekend we all had a great time learning clay arts with artist Barbara McGuire who taught classes in both Art clay silver and polymer clay. We learned how to fused gold to silver in a great Keum boo class on Friday night. Saturday's class was an introduction to working in polymer clay and featured embedding glass baubles in textured clay, highlighting captured images. The afternoon session was a tutorial on making molds with various compounds and creating a tinted translucent impression from the molds. We also learned classic polymer techniques such as antiquing and sanding and buffing the clay to a high shine. We hope you will join us for future clay classes.
